- In command of ARADAMAC (the Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center) in Corpus Christi, TX at the time of his military retirement in 1962
- Retired from the Army in 1962 and returned to Upshur County
- Ruling Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Buckhannon
- Past president of the Heidelberg-Frankfurt Chapter of the National Defense Transportation Asociation and of the Susquehanna Chapter of the same organization
