Notes:
- Taught math and coached football for five years at Mark Twain High School in Raleigh County. One of his students was Robert C. Byrd.
- David Reemsnyder was both a Dreamer and a Giant. His obituary in the Sundial News included the following statement, : “His dreams for the finest of facilities for the Department of Physcial Education were pursued with persistence and he saw the facility through to completion as liaison between the cocllege and the architect and builder.”
- The David E. Reemsnyder Research Center is named in his honor and also sits over the site of his office in the Old Gymnasium.
