I had the honor and good fortune to take an english course with Prof. Foote at Wesleyan in 1968-69. He was a brilliant, deep and insightful man that lived a rich, robust and at times difficult life that saw him travel to many parts of our country . He opened our minds to ” take the road less traveled ” and gave us permission to think beyond the obvious and make life choices based on what we felt and believed as well as on the facts . Thanks Prof. Foote.

Dr. Foote was one of a kind! I hope to write about him in a future blog post. Thanks for sharing your memories of him.
